For me this has to be one of the top three designs ever produced. This stunning 1981 Miko / Mercier / Vivagel pro team jersey features one of those colour schemes that on paper shouldn’t work but in reality does perfectly.
There are two versions of this jersey in the collection, one made by Tricots du Rocher of France and this version made by premier Italian manufacturer Castelli.
The main differences between the two are that the French version is made from acrylic and has white cuffs and branding on the sleeves, it also has a different shade of pink on the body.
This version by Castelli not only features a more fitted cut which I personally prefer but also the famed and perfectly considered branding of Castelli at the shoulder, chest and zip pull which elevates this jersey into a league of it’s own. Castelli are known for their garment quality and this is without question one of the most finely crafted jerseys I’ve come across, a true classic!
